* Objectives (or goals)--Identifying essential understanding

* Assessment of the teaching/learning

* Related activity prior to lesson

*Processing questions (at end)

Balance with individual/group activities

Bridging conceptual learning to symbolic

Awareness of future/prior learning

Central question to engage learners

Re-teaching

Identifying what worked in the lesson and what didn’t

* Materials (Access to them)

Awareness of the lesson--Evaluating the lesson in advance for stumbling blocks
